Can I join the study if I have already had a baby?
No, sorry. You can only take part if you are expecting your first baby.
Is there a minimum or maximum age limit to take part in the trial?
You need to be aged 16 or over to take part in the study. There is no maximum age limit.
Can I join the study at any stage of pregnancy?
You can join the study up until 35 weeks of pregnancy. Your baby’s due date must be on or before 14th February 2024. The last date that we can sign anyone up to the study is 12th January 2024.
I plan to formula feed my baby, is the trial only for those who plan to breast feed?
You can join the ABA-feed study regardless of how you plan to feed your baby.
Can I decide which trial group I go in?
No, sorry. This is decided randomly by a computer program and is out of the control of the research team.
How will Covid-19 affect my participation in this trial?
If you meet the ABA-infant feeding helper or researcher they will follow all relevant government and local guidelines.
